Mexico is considered as a world-wide strategic region for the manufacture of aeronautical components, with a growth of 15% per year during the last three years. In addition, Mexico has a strong capacity to attract foreign investment, through new projects with a high impact of innovation and development.
Currently, the aviation industry in Mexico is focused on manufacturing, maintenance, design, and training services. The states of Baja California,
Chihuahua, Nuevo Leon, Queretaro and Sonora, comprise the majority of aeronautical companies installed in the country, employing more than 45,000 professionals. In addition, according to studies of Strategic Programs for the Aeronautical Industry 2010-2020 is expected to achieve exports of USD $12,267 million by 2021.
The projections for growing in aeronautics aim to Universities and Research Centers to work together with Government and Industry in order to promote opportunities in the execution of high-impact research projects, the development of technological innovation and the installation of new specialized scientific areas that are not currently implemented in the country, such as propulsion systems and flight control and avionics simulators.
The 1st International Conference on Aeronautics is designed to meet Academy, Industry and Government in order to discuss the aeronautical advances, innovation, technological strategies and business with high impact on society.
Discuss the scope and the needs of the aeronautical companies established in Mexico. Debate on business models in aeronautics and supply chain in Querétaro. Establish collaborative work by means of the triple-helix: Industry-Government-Academy.
